Klaus Von Ziegenweid is the son of Nicole Von Ziegenweid and Vladislaus Straud. He is the heir of the fourth generation of the Vampire Legacy Challenge.
Toddlerhood[]
Klaus was raised in the Von Ziegenweid family home by his grandmother Violet Medley and vampire's thrall Riku Ota. His father Vlad never asked to see him or meet him for the first few years of his life, as Vlad was either unaware of his existence or too overwhelmed by Nicole's death to want to see Klaus. He developed the brave trait from growing up in a haunted home.
One of his young friends from school, Kim Kealoha, came home with him after school one day. Violet accidentally drank from the child after being blinded from thirst. Kim did not die from the attack, as she was a spellcaster, but her hair turned silver. Violet was devastated that she attacked a child and soon fled to Sulani to start a new life as a human.
Teenage Years[]
Klaus aged up into a tall, handsome young vampire. He was unsure of his path in life and what type of vampire he would become one day. He received some vampiric training from his father after Vlad finally summoned him to Forgotten Hollow. Klaus turned his attention to Kim, who was now also a teenager. Kim had no interest in Klaus whatsoever -- she despised vampires after being attacked by Violet as a child. Klaus also harassed her boyfriend Floyd by pretending to be his friend and then luring him to the house to drink from him several times in the hope that he would die.
Young Adulthood[]
Klaus continued to try and woo Kim for several years while they grew up together. Kim did not find him attractive and rejected his every advance. He even tried changing his entire look and covering his body in tattoos to appeal to her. Kim found him more attractive after that but still did not seem keen on the idea of being with him. But one day, Klaus happened to drink from a spellcaster; this made his eyes glow yellow and gave him a magical aura that helped him seduce Kim. Soon after, Kim became pregnant.
During this time, Klaus also endeavored to complete the Bloodborne aspiration. His knowledge in vampire lore increased, as did his skills in sparring. He revived his great-grandmother's vampire club, which included Draco's half-siblings. Klaus completed the aspiration and received the Transeo trait: "The Transeo Bloodborne have assimilated into human society by rising to positions of power in order to amass wealth. As a result, they pass relatively unnoticed, while reveling in the creature comforts that go along with their status." Klaus then joined the business career.
Kim gave birth to his daughter, Persephone. She was born a hybrid spellcaster / vampire. Persephone inherited yellow glowing eyes from when she was conceived under Klaus's magical influence. She also has her mother's silver hair. There was some debate over whether Klaus or Floyd was her father, as Klaus discovered that Kim still loved Floyd shortly before the child was born -- but upon seeing her, Klaus knew Persephone was his child and the next heir.
In order to secure his line in case something happens to Persephone, Klaus took Kim to the romance festival in San Myshuno. He wooed her with his alluring visage powers. KIm later gave birth to another daughter, Eris.
