Jay Jones was Emma's boyfriend for a while after she Max broke up and Lilith was a toddler. However, they broke up because Jay had flirted with Jessy and potentially other sims too, breaking Emma's heart.
Years later, Jay married twice and died off-screen due to old age.

Description
Jay was quite pale and had a bunch of stubble, and curved tubes in his ears. He had green eyes, (not noodle-doodle) black eyebrows, and he dyed his hair a reddish-purplish colour. He was covered in tattoos, and while he was initially Emma's boyfriend, he was creepy and tried flirting with most of the girls in the series. (He even attempted to ask out Lilith, even though he used to date her mother!)
Adulthood
Jay worked at the laboratory with Jessica. During a party at her apartment, she met her sister Emma and the two became a couple. He had a great relationship with her and her daughter Lilith until he flirted with Jessica, and potentially other sims, at a party. Although they tried salvaging their relationship, they eventually broke up.
After breaking up with Emma, Jay became known as a creep by flirting with all the women in the Callery-Aiken clan, including Lilith who was a potential stepdaughter for him at one point. He has been known to call up sims like Charlotte and Lilith at random times to ask them out.
He also had an off and on the relationship with Jessica but that ended.
At some point off screen, he married Elisha Black, the mother of Connor's twin daughters, and then married Lucia Jones and had 3 other children, Austen and twin daughter and son Bria and Soren after Elisha passed away. It was revealed in episode 47 of In the City that Emma was crying because Jay had died.
